I’ve worked a few times with Karolina on First Born Knit, a Byron Bay–based knitwear brand, and it’s always been one of those really easy, natural collaborations. Most of what we’ve shot together are studio lookbooks, keeping things simple so the focus stays on the pieces.

What I love about the brand is the intention behind it. Everything is handmade in small batches, with a strong connection to traditional techniques and artisan communities (with roots in Peru). You can really feel that it’s not fast fashion, it’s slower, more considered, and built to last.

Karolina has created something that’s not just about clothes, but about values - caring about where things come from, how they’re made, and who’s making them. It’s the kind of work that supports real people and keeps things more sustainable, which I really respect.

From my side, the goal has always been to keep the imagery clean and honest - soft light, minimal styling, nothing overdone. Just letting the textures, shapes, and feeling of the garments come through.
